Topic: A country you would like to visit.


  


One of the countries that I would really like to visit is England. It is located at the north-west of Europe and is in the southern part of Great Britain, being also part of the United Kingdom. They live in a monarchy under the rule of Queen Elizabeth II. In fact, the English monarchy was born after the self-proclamation in 878 of Alfred the Great, King of Wessex as King of England in the 9th century.


There are lots of reasons why I would like to visit England, but I will talk about a few. 

As London is home to some of the best museums in the world, one of the first things I would do is to visit the Design Museum, because it is known that it was the first museum in the world dedicated exclusively to objects designed and produced in series.

In addition, aside from its innumerable gardens, England has many smaller parks with particular landscapes. A famous example of landscape design is found at Stourhead Gardens, in the county of Wiltshire. These were inaugurated in 1740 as an artistic composition of meadows, lakes, forests, viewpoints and other dream scenarios. 


Having in mind what I have said (and adding some stuff), I think it's a pretty interesting place to live. This because the country, with a mix of cosmopolitan cities and countryside villages, is full of historical landmarks, remarkable music festivals and other amazing events to keep everybody entertained.

Blog post 6 Topic: Time Travel to the Future   It is funny how every time someone brings up the subject of time travel, the first thing that comes to my mind is the Back to the Future movie saga. So I thought it would be fun if I wrote this blog from the perspective of the plot from one of those movies: Back to the Future II, to be more specific. On October 26 of 1985, Dr. Emmett Brown arrives in the DeLorean time machine and persuades Marty McFly to travel to the future with him once again. They arrive on October 21 of 2015, thirty years in the future... English Language Challenges

  Topic: English Language Challenges   The first thing that I thought when I started this course was "it's so weird to do this by just sutting in front of a computer", I never truly got used to this... But even though these were online classes, they helped me review grammar content that I had practically forgotten even though I constantly write in English on a daily basis. But honestly... I don't like to write blogs (I used to write them in my last school for Language class, but I never like dthem), because they always took me a good amount of time to write them, plus I don't feel like I learn much from them. Although seeing the positive side, it helps me to practice my writing. I have always believed that I really need to practice my pronunciation when speaking in English. The best holidays ever

Blog post 2: Topic: The best holidays ever. The best holidays I've ever had happened in February of 2020, just before the arrival of  COVID-19 pandemic in Chile. This idea came about thanks to my dad, he thought it would be a good idea to do something different and go on a little family vacation somewhere we had never been before. In this case, the city of Puerto Montt, at the south of Chile. Since at that time the plane tickets were not exactly cheap (and that it was just me and my parents), we decided to travel by car and make several stops to visit other cities or towns along the way, such as: Talca, Concepción, Talcahuano or Temuco.  After a full day of travel, we arrived in Puerto Montt and looked for a hostel to be able to stay a week and visit the surrounding cities.
